Broke-out window have you down? We can help!, doors, vents, quarter glass, & rear windows of modern-day vehicles often have Tempered Glass as the installed part, The main difference between these "Tempered" parts, and your Windshield is that these completely Shatter when they break. However they also are extremely strong and do not crack.

Next door lives the info on Tempered glass, But lets talk about Laminated glass! 

Laminated glass, which is Often used to make Modern-day vehicle windshields are two peices of glass put Toghether with a laminate between. This way when a rock or large object hits the glass and breaks it, It doesnt shatter, Instead it creates what we call a "Chip" as you can see above.

Catching these "Chips" Early on- Before they start to crack, can extend the life of your current windshield, at a Fraction of the price of a replacement!

"What is Recalibration?" This is a commonly asked question, But is one of the most important parts of modern-day Windshield Replacement! 

When we replace the windshield of a vehicle that has a camera system mounted or pointing at the windshield, we require them to be recalibrated due to the many systems that they interact with, Including but not limited to:

ACC (Advanced Cruise Control)
AEB (Automated Emergency Braking)
PCW/PCA (Pre-Collision Warning/Assist)
TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition)
LDW/LKA (Lane Departure Warning/Lane Keep Assist)

Due to the safety-based nature of these systems, when a windshield is replaced it will "Move" or adjust the camera or where it is looking, causing errors in the system. by Recalibrating these vehicles we tell that camera where it should be looking, so that those ADAS Systems work as intended and may even save your life!

Leaking Window? Or has another shop installed your glass incorrectly? Water leaking inside a windshield is Never a good sign! it shows that the windshield's Bond has failed, most often it is due to a improper installation or in severe cases- Rust or Paint Failure.

If the windshield or part to be R&R is in good condition, we can often save the glass, and you money! However be warned there is always a chance that glass will break during removal, which is why we always keep a spare.
